 Marvo Art....

I studied in London at the LCP, this was for Art, Design & Print, during this time, I observed the grafitti in and around the London network of underpasses around the Elephant & Castle. This was to be a start of something for me. Then, i used to go by the tag of 'MAZE', i used to sketch throw, and bomb as often as i could, not many survived in  the late 80's..Bomb then run! My music taste was hip hop and break beat, both still play a big part in my life, I have to have music when I paint or else I feel as empty as a can I've just used.

I have always tried to be as creative as possible, growing from vibrant graffiti, tagging and also poster art, but I love to stencil, this takes time as some stencils are quite tricky, the bigger stencils are very enjoyable to create, very time consuming, but to see the end product is like undoing a gift on your birthday.

I usually work with aerosol, marker and acrylic, the designs I make are either simple, political or just comical, either way, you can say a lot with just images and no text, its not a rule I stick with, but sometimes less is more.

“When I got caught doing a piece in London in 87, my can got confiscated, as I walked away, I heard the underground attendant shaking and spraying a face on the wall I
was working on.....I may have recruited a new trooper!"
